Best AI logo generators in 2026, compared on published terms
People searching for the best AI logo generator usually want a file they can download, and a price for that file. This page compares Looka, Brandmark, LOGO.com, Shopify’s logo maker, Canva and Logocene on the prices and file lists those companies publish. We did not run the other tools, so this is not a scored test. Logocene is the one we make.

How was this comparison made?
The method is a reading of public pages, not a studio test. On 16 October 2026 we opened the pricing or product pages linked at the bottom and wrote down the prices and file types that were actually on the page. Where a dollar amount was missing from the text, the table says the price was not in the text. We do not fill that gap with a number from memory or from another blog.
Looka’s $65 figure is the one already on our Looka comparison, from an October 2026 check of looka.com. A fresh read of Looka’s pricing page on 16 October 2026 described a Basic package and a Premium package, and the text we received did not include the dollar prices. Treat $65 as that earlier check, and confirm the live number before you buy. We did not sign up for the other tools or open their downloads. A trace, a concept count or a wait time is outside this page unless the company printed it.
What counts as a usable logo?
A usable logo, for a small business, is a file a website, a document and a printer can share. A preview on a screen is not that file.
Vector file. SVG, EPS or PDF. The drawing is curves, so it stays sharp on a favicon and on a shop sign. A developer can put the SVG in a header. A sign shop can scale it.
Raster file. PNG or JPG at a fixed pixel size. It is the right file for a social profile. Stretched past its pixels, it goes soft. A transparent PNG sits on a clear background, which matters on a photo or a coloured banner.
Brand kit. Colours, fonts, and sometimes cards or a short guide. A zip of one PNG is not a kit.
Licence. The seller’s own words for what you may do with the files. Commercial use for your brand is the line that matters. Fonts often sit under a separate licence.
What does each published price buy?
The table is ordered by the published price of a download, low to high, where we have a number. Rows without a number sit at the bottom. Logocene is included because we make it. It is not placed first.
| Tool | Price cited | Files that price names | Brand kit | Licence, as published |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Shopify Logo Maker | Free, as stated on the page | File types not named on the page we read | Not named | The page says the logo is yours to own, with no hidden fees |
| LOGO.com free plan | $0 | The free column reads PNG only | Limited templates on the free column | Full commercial use is a row on the table. Confirm which column it sits in |
| Logocene | $9.99 for 10 generations, about $1 each | Paid ZIP: SVG in colour and black and white, PNG at 512, 1024 and 2048 px | Palette, Google Fonts pair, 30-page web guide | Paid download includes a commercial licence for your brand. See the terms |
| LOGO.com Brand Plan | $15 USD a month, or $60 USD a year, in the page’s structured data | Paid columns show file counts. The page text we read did not name SVG | Brand kit and templates are listed on paid plans | Full commercial use is listed. Confirm the column |
| Brandmark Basic | $35 one-time | PNG and vector | Not in the Basic line | Not spelled out on the pricing lines we read |
| Looka vector package | $65, from the earlier October 2026 check of looka.com | Premium, on the 16 October page, lists PNG, EPS, SVG and PDF. The $65 label is the earlier check, not a price printed in that page’s text | Brand guidelines are described on the subscription, not on the one-time Premium line | Premium says full ownership for commercial or non-commercial use, and that Looka does not register a copyright for you |
| Brandmark Designer | $95 one-time | Logo source files | Brand guidelines, one-page websites, cards, social posts, presentations | Not spelled out on the pricing lines we read |
| Brandmark Enterprise | $195 one-time | Designer package, plus up to 10 hand-crafted concepts and a font download | Same guidelines line as Designer | Not spelled out on the pricing lines we read |
| Canva logo maker | The page calls the tool free | The page says you can download the logo. It does not name SVG, or a paid tier, in the text we read | The page mentions palettes and templates inside the editor | Not stated on the page we read |
| Looka Basic | Price not in the page text on 16 October 2026 | One PNG at 1000×1000 pixels, on a coloured background | Not in that package line | Not stated on that package line |
What does LOGO.com publish?
LOGO.com’s pricing page, read on 16 October 2026, shows a free column, a Brand Plan and a Business Plan. In the file rows, the free column reads PNG only for full colour, greyscale, transparent, and transparent greyscale. The paid columns show counts of files (6, 6, 5 and 5 on those four rows) rather than the words PNG only.
The page’s structured data lists the Brand Plan at $15 USD a month and $60 USD a year. The same data lists GBP, CAD, EUR, AUD and ZAR. Our Looka comparison still does not quote a LOGO.com dollar amount, because an earlier pass could not confirm the files from the layout. This article adds the Brand Plan prices from that structured data, and it still does not claim the paid files are SVG. The page did not name SVG in the text we read. We also did not find a Business Plan dollar amount in that data, so none is printed here.
A free plan that says PNG only is a raster file. It is a different product from a vector file you can send to a sign shop. Shopify’s page says the download is free and yours to own, and it does not name SVG. Canva’s page says you can download, and it does not name SVG either. Open the file before you print it. The free logo makers guide stays on that question.
Where does Logocene sit, given that we make it?
Logocene draws nine logos for one brief and traces each mark to SVG. The paid ZIP holds the symbol in colour and in black and white, PNG files at 512, 1024 and 2048 pixels on a clear background, a palette as JSON and CSS, a text file naming a Google Fonts pair, and a licence file. The 30-page brand guide stays on the web, on the kit page. The fonts are Google Fonts under their own open licences.
The first generation is free to look at, with a watermark on the preview. You can read the guide. The clean SVG is not in that free look. One credit removes the watermark from all nine concepts in that generation and downloads the files. The smallest pack is $9.99 for 10 generations, about $1 each, and those credits do not expire. Pro is $14.99 a month for 20 generations. Studio is $39.99 a month for 70. The full list is on pricing. The wording of the licence is on the terms.
On the criteria in the table, the thing Logocene publishes at the pack price is a set of SVG files plus a guide, sold as generations rather than as one logo. Brandmark Basic publishes vector files at $35 for a one-time purchase. Those are different offers. A buyer who wants one logo and a single invoice may prefer the $35 line. A buyer who wants several rounds of nine marks, and a guide with each round, is the person the pack is for.
We do not run a trademark search. A paid licence is not a registration. Check the mark in your market before you file it.
How should a small business choose?
Start from the file you will need in the first month, not from a ranking.
If the logo has to go on a sign, a label or a website header, ask for a vector file by name: SVG, EPS or PDF. Brandmark Basic is the priced line that says vector in the same breath as $35. Looka’s Premium line names SVG, and the dollar amount to put next to it is the $65 from the earlier check until their page shows another. Logocene’s paid download names SVG, at $9.99 for 10 generations.
If you only need a picture for a social profile this week, a free PNG may be enough. Shopify states that the download is free and yours. LOGO.com’s free column says PNG only. Canva says you can download. Open the file. If the extension is PNG and the edges look soft when you scale it, you still need a vector later. The file guide is the checklist for that later step.
If you need colours, type and a page you can hand to a printer, look at who includes a guide. Brandmark puts brand guidelines on the $95 Designer plan. Looka describes them on the subscription, and the fee was not in the text we read. Logocene includes a 30-page web guide with the generation. The free logo maker page covers the watermarked preview.
A subscription and a one-time pack are different bills. LOGO.com’s Brand Plan is $15 a month or $60 a year in the data we read. Logocene’s pack does not renew. This page does not score the drawings, and it does not quote Canva’s paid plans or a LOGO.com Business Plan price. For a designer and a contest beside these downloads, see how much a logo costs.
Describe your business

Questions
Did you test these tools on one brief?
No. On 16 October 2026 we read the public pricing and product pages. We did not create accounts on the other tools, generate logos in them, or open their downloads. Vector quality here means the file types a company says you receive.
Why is Logocene in the list?
We make Logocene, and leaving it out would hide the comparison people come here to make. It sits in the same columns as the others: files, price, brand kit and licence. The row is labelled as ours.
Which published price includes a vector file?
Brandmark’s Basic plan lists PNG and vector files at $35. Looka’s Premium package lists PNG, EPS, SVG and PDF, and an earlier October 2026 check of looka.com put a vector package at $65. Logocene’s paid download includes SVG. Shopify and Canva call the tool free, and the pages we read did not name SVG.
Do these prices stay still?
No. The date on this page is 16 October 2026. Confirm the live price on each company’s site before you pay. A stale number is a bad reason to pick a tool.
